Description: Would you like to have a BLAST and give back at the same time? Help the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces and Sunshine on a Ranney Day and Break a Guinness World Record at the Piedmont Park Arts Festival! The GWR to beat: The longest human chain to pass through a hula hoop! Record to break: 502 people! Check out last year’s attempt: http://youtu.be/rfAppaF4vq 0 WHEN: Saturday August 16 at 4:00 PM WHERE: The Meadow at Piedmont Park | Closest to the Charles Allen Entrance REQUIREMENTS: You must be at least 8 years of age to participate REGISTER from 10:00 - 3:00 at the Sunshine on a Ranney Day Booth at the event. Small donations are greatly appreciated. HOW DOES IT WORK? We will create a large circle of people around the Active Oval at Piedmont Park. Everyone will hold hands as the hula-hoop is passed from person to person. One trick is to step through the hula hoop with one leg, pass is over your own head, step through with the other leg and pass it along to the next person without breaking the chain. This pass is a lot of fun and very simple to execute. Sunshine on a Ranney Day is selling commemorative tee shirts for this event, with the proceeds helping to create more dream room makeovers for children with long term illness.
