Description: Learn the in’s and out’s of publishing a children’s book. We’ll walk you through the obstacles of publishing a children’s book in the era of self-publishing and digital printing, and how to overcome these to produce a quality children’s book that won’t break your bank. Editing for children's books can be a particularly tricky area. Are you reaching your targeted age group? Let us walk you through the process and give you some topics to consider. We all know that a picture is worth a thousand words – and this is especially true when it comes to children's books! So, you have a great story – or even just a great idea for a story – but you're not sure where to begin to illustrate it. It can be an overwhelming stumbling block sometimes. Michele Phillips, a professional illustrator with hundreds of pages and many years of experience will 'illustrate' the process of finding and working with an artist for your book – from what to look for and expect in an illustrator, style variations, and avoiding common pitfalls, to the illustration process itself, – so you can find the very best fit and ensure success for you and your book.
