Description: Come and enjoy the Gainesville State College INDOOR pool. We are able to offer year-round swim lessons in an environment with a consistent temperature and where weather is rarely a problem! Keep your skills fresh and improve your swimming ability all year round. Our swimming lessons are based on the American Red Cross Learn to Swim program. Students will be grouped according to skill level, and experience. Our low teacher/student ratio of 1:3 will ensure lots of individualized attention for each child. Lessons will be geared toward progression in the following levels: Level 1 Introduction to Water Skills; Level 2 Fundamental Aquatic Skills; Level 3 Stroke Development; Level 4 Stoke Improvement; Level 5 Stroke Refinement; Level 6 Swimming & Skill Proficiency. Parents should keep in mind that children vary as to levels of progression and that any accomplishment should be recognized with enthusiasm. Certificates of Achievement will be given on the last day of class. A signed Liability Waiver is REQUIRED for participation. Class meets Tu from 5:00 PM to 5:50 PM Fee: $75.
