I was one with thousands who had "purple tickets' for the Inauguration of President Obama. I was also one of thousands who, due to some unknown problem, did not get into the ceremony as I had planned.
Disappointment...for sure. My friends and I stayed in line believing that we would get in...it didn't happen. We didn't see or hear the ceremony...

Miles to go before I sleep

What a long, strange trip it’s been! Up by 5:00 a.m. Out the door by 6:00 to a waiting taxi for the trek to Dulles. There’s no good way to get to Dulles from Bethesda on the Metro and with the predicted crowds, we weren’t chancing it.
