Running this time of year and throughout the summer months requires one additional element to your planning -- sun tan lotion.
With the blazing sun beating down while you run down a road or path that is radiating the heat, it's easy to get burned, especially for long-distance runners. Just think, would you go out to the pool or cut the grass for an hour or an hour and a half during the summer without applying sun tan lotion? The same rule of thumb should apply for running.
Everyone hates a bad sun burn!
