Do we need a white Christmas?

Take Me To Post Comment Form

I have often spent my holidays wondering if a white Christmas was necessary to have a holiday spirit. Living in north Georgia, I tend to see different weather types that make it almost impossible to predict whether or not we will get snow. One day I am wearing four or five layers and the next day I drive with my air conditioning on because I start to sweat.

It is on days that the weather is warm or slightly cool that I hope for a white Christmas. The warm weather plays tricks on my mind that is so used seeing white snow at this time of year. I will not lie, I enjoy the occasional snow day and being off work but the real reason I miss snow is because of the beauty it brings. Who does not enjoy building a snowman? Who does not enjoy making snow angels? Even staying indoors and looking outside at how the entire neighborhood changes brings out a special feeling that can only be brought with snow.

Is snow necessary for a great Christmas? Of course not, but it does add to the holiday spirit.

What are your thoughts on snow?
Anyone have good memories of snowy days?
