With the movie Moneyball hitting theaters last weekend, this week’s Pick 'Em has a front-office theme.
The first-half leader is Graham with a three-game lead over second place. He is compared to New York Yankees’ late owner George Steinbrenner. He picks winners and plans on crushing the competition.
The race for second place is where our Pick 'Em contest starts to get interesting.
In one corner is David, who has held second place most of the season. In the other corner is the defending champion Brent. The two have a couple picks in different games and will separate themselves a little tonight.
David has been much like the Braves General Manager Frank Wren. He has been second place much of the year and has talent to be with the leader, but his team (his picks) has not performed the way it should lately.
Brent is Hall County's versions of Billy Beane. He, nor Graham, has seen a live high school game this season, but he continues to up strong numbers in the win column by crunching numbers and not letting emotion get in the way of his picks.
Zac fell a spot last week because he pulled a Raiders Owner Al Davis and let emotion get the best of him.
In fifth is Bill. His front office persona is that of the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, leader of a perennial last-place team with questionable front-office decisions. Sometimes we aren’t real sure what he is doing with his picks and he’s in last by five games, 10 games back of the lead. Still looking for his Blake Griffin, we suppose.
Play along and post your picks.

Week 6 had its share of suprises. They boys all want to express congratulations on to Riverside Military and West Hall. None of these guys picked the Eagles or the Spartans to win, but both schools represented Hall County well by winning Friday night.
Though he won Picker of the Week Award going 10-4 on the night, Graham finally hit double-digit losses on the season.
He also extended his lead by one game over everyone else, as David, Brent, Zac and Bill all went 9-5.
After 6 weeks, this is how it stands:
Graham 67-11
David 63-15
Brent 62-16
Zac 61-17
Bill 56-22
