It's a slow time for college football recruiting, but not at North Hall. Rising senior running back Imani Cross made a verbal commitment to the University of Tennessee on Sunday, and his coach Bob Christmas says that it's solid.
You may remember, Cross missed much of his junior season after an offseason torn achillies tendon. However, he still managed to rush for 16 touchdowns and recorded 77 tackles on defense.
"I believe his injury is 100-percent healed," Christmas said. "He is working extremely hard and is one of our best leaders on the football team."
The Trojans now have two players coming back next season already committed to SEC programs. Wide receiver C.J. Curry verbally commited during the season to the University of Georgia.
