Local musician Peggie Hoskins is ready to belt out her funky jazz tunes at the Beatin' the Blues Concert which will benefit a local charity and feature local musicians.
Tickets are $25 and the proceeds will go to Our Neighbor for special needs children.
Wayne Langford, Ed MacGruger, Jarrett Johnson, songwriter/guitarist Ivan Duke, Donny Whitehead and Lee Davis also will perform at 6:30 on Nov. 13 at Pearce Auditorium.
The headliner this year will be the "Empress of the Blues" Sandra Hall with Jack Person, a former guitarist for the Allman Brothers.
Allen Nivens and Nate Currin also will perform Friday evening.
Only about 50 tickets are left and tickets will be available at the door. Food and drinks also will be on hand for purchase.
