"Alleged sport?"

As an "alleged sports reporter" I thought it would be obvious that you wouldn't insult your potential subjects before the interview even took place.

It's not an insult, it's an opinion. Not to mention I'd be more than likely to get a response from people that wanted to defend "the sport" than ones that wanted to agree and say how great it is.

I would be more than happy to sit down and discuss why I am a fan of NASCAR. I would first ask that you become somewhat familiar with the sport and why these guys and other drivers/crewman are athletes. I will not discuss any topics as to why people don't think these guys are athletes. If you have any knowledge of the sport you will feel the same. Other than that I would be more than happy to sit down or show you and your readers why NASCAR and other racing sports are worth being fans of.
