As a side note, I want to ask for your understanding and willingness to overlook my spelling and grammatical errors. It has been MOST difficult trying to use the internet in Tanzania. In fact, it took over two hours to post the last blog. The computers are extremely slow, subject to cutting off and power surges and/failures are not uncommon. It is quite difficult to keep ones’ concentration. I usually resort to typing as fast as possible and posting (crossing my fingers and holding my breath).

We ‘graduated’ yesterday and received a Certificate of Completion from the Principal of TCDC. Our group has decided to continue our studies – we plan to have a book study club and we all want to work on a Service Learning Grant for next summer. We are considering working in the schools in Zanzibar. That country is unique and serves as a model as how a country with three major religions (Muslim, Christian and Hindu) can peacefully coincide. As I mentioned earlier, I am proud of my profession and believe more strongly than ever that Education is the most powerful agent of change. I have enjoyed and feel blessed by the Tanzanian educators I have met during this trip. Learning is truly life long.
